Map & driving directions to Balboa Park Inspiration Point parking area
2125 Park Blvd. San Diego, CA 92101

Please arrive early so we can get the bikes loaded and be on our way by 7:45 AM SHARP. Bikes arriving after 7:30 may be subject to loading in the bus cargo area rather than bike racks.

At check-in, you will receive more detailed information, a map & directions to our meeting place in Ensenada and ID labels for your equipment. A complementary continental breakfast snack featuring coffee, juice, pastry and fruit will be served during loading.

Scheduled arrival in Rosarito Beach is 9:00 AM. The ride officially starts at 10:00 AM.

Bring a small backpack for your personal items and post-ride attire. You may leave it on the bus and retrieve it at the Finish line.

Bottled water & Gatorade will be available to you in Rosarito Beach.

All of the shops & businesses along the route will be open during the ride, so bring a few bucks for a taco or a soda along the way and lunch & stuff in Ensenada.

Everyone accepts US dollars @ 12 pesos = $1. Small bills are best.

We’ll meet you in Ensenada. Our finish line pickup location might have changed from previous years so bring the map & directions that you received at the morning check-in. You may leave your bike securely with us for the rest of the day and retrieve the bag you left on your bus seat. Then take off and enjoy the fiesta party and the shops and restaurants of downtown Ensenada. The famous Hussong’s Cantina and Pappas & Beer are a 10 minute walk away. Showers are available at a clean public shower house just a short walk away, for about $3.00. If you want one, bring a towel, as they sometimes run out.

Unlimited ice cold Corona’s and/or soft drinks along with our infamous Baja Marlin tacos & Chips will be served while in Ensenada.

There will be three bus return times this year, with scheduled departures from Ensenada at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 PM. Important Note: You have the opportunity to reserve you’re return seats in advance on a space available basis. This can be done by selecting a bus time during online registration, contacting our office by e-mail or phone, or at the morning check-in desk in San Diego.

If there’s one thing that we’ve learned in the past 31 years (that’s 52 rides!) it’s this; despite our best efforts to make these return buses run like clockwork- due to the BTDC (Baja Time Drag Coefficient) these times are somewhat flexible. If this relaxed time schedule is an important issue to you, please cancel now, or bring extra medication.

Please bring the completed Registration/Waiver form to the check-in desk in San Diego.

The new passport requirements for border crossing back into the USA have taken affect as of June 2009. You WILL need a passport OR a certified birth certificate and photo ID to get back into the US. Please do not make a reservation if you do not have a proper ID. (an expired US passport will be accepted)
